This book is a wonderful historical book of how America came to be, and a simple as well as a very informative collection of short biographical sketches of those instrumental in founding and influencing the principles and theories of America's freedom and economy. Most importantly, it shows the spiritual foundation of America, and how the gospel was brought about because of numerous people and circumstances prepared by the hand of God so we could enjoy the freedoms and prosperity we have, allowing the fullness of the gospel to be restored. This also paved the way for other countries to learn from and try to adopt many of the principles applied in the U.S., thus allowing more freedoms throughout the world. I want this to be a "read before you leave" book for each of my children.Product details

This is one of the most fascinating and enlightening books I've ever picked up. It covers all the controversial political topics without bias and with historical explanation. Delightful, thought-provoking, conversation-starting, and action-inspiring.

For any student of history, this book covers the remarkable history of the United States of America, while acknowledging God's hand in the development of America as well explaining the background and context. Through simple biographies of key historical figures the reader will learn topics that up to this point seemed a mystery, too confusing to be understood economics, politics, international relations, law, etc...
I'd recommend it to anyone with an interest in being well-rounded and understanding the world around us and what we can do to influence it for good.
